Surreal

Surreal is a story of perseverance, in which many times of struggle in life weigh on us and yet our strength lies in our perseverance through these times. Doubt and fear presents itself often; and yet then we see that we find strength and resolve along the way down the winding path. Life shows all its beauty in time.

Adrenaline

I wrote this song when I was intensely playing football in school and was also, at the same time, performing on stages in various musical capacities.  Both scenarios, and a lot of others like them in life, require a lot of adrenaline to not only get you going but to keep you focused on your goals.   “When you’ve got something to lose, you’ve got something to save”

I’m Not Bold

I wrote this song as an expression of how easy it is for one to feel like they are not worthy; the woes and moments that leave us behind can lead to giving up. This song reminds us that the past is behind us, and the power that we have to affect our desires lives within us in the present.  The lessons in this song remind us that being bold is a choice in the present, and that our power to be bold exists only then.  It’s a reminder that challenges are so often all in our heads and that we can all be bold at any time and overcome those challenges.

Don’t Stop Now

Keep going and have faith.  You’ll figure it out.

Follow the Road

I wrote this song while in a philosophy class in college.  History is filled with lessons, and classical philosophers have a unique perspective on life, even in today’s world.  So, when you can’t see where you’re going, let history, and the unknown, be your guide.  Follow the road, keep on going ‘til you know where it goes.

Feet in the Sand

A song about walking on the beach with the one you love.

Bones

Love so strong you can feel it in your bones.

Calling Your Name

I wrote this song while taking a class in college called “The Neuroscience of Stress.” The science behind stress is fascinating; there is much to be learned about how to overcome stress, since it is indeed a part of life.  These lyrics are meant to help those experiencing stress recognize that there are tools to address stressful challenges in life so that their fears … can weigh nothing at all.

Just You and Me

Inspired by a fantasy movie, there are ways to make beauty in your relationships in real life. One should focus on what we do for each other, and that leads to compassion.
